Arts Festival

Howdy you all, I just finished up with my 2ed showing at the Mecca Arts Festival of Carrollton, GA. I must admit my first year was quite disappointing, but this year made up for last year. This year I decided to show my clay work in a big way. The face pottery was majority of my work shown and it was (if I must say) a huge success for me. Not only was the sales great I came away with the merit award for the artist guild tent. I must say I am on cloud nine. Well enough about my success, the show was at it's best, great traffic, great weather, and a great team made all this possible. I am very fortunate to be a member of my local guild. Well until next time kids this is the Big Duluth signing off.

Random question, what kind of clay do you use?

Its definitely the kind you have to pop in a Kiln isn't it?

I really like the facial jugs in your gallery and scribbly bits too.

It's cone 6 white stoneware and yes that is fired in a kiln. Thanks

sculpty is always good. All you need is an oven.

I've used sculpty and still use it but the two kinds I use, polymer based, the shatter proof and this white one I forget its name, is really hard to kneed and aggravate my arthritis.
